NUTRIGENIX 5-Amino-1MQ
5-Amino-1MQ is a small-molecule research compound supplied for laboratory investigation involving metabolic enzyme signaling and cellular energy pathways. Each vial from Nutrigenix Scientific is manufactured for controlled research environments requiring consistent experimental materials and reliable compound preparation.
5-Amino-1MQ is widely studied as an inhibitor of nicotinamide N-methyltransferase (NNMT), an enzyme involved in cellular metabolism and nicotinamide regulation. NNMT participates in pathways associated with cellular methylation reactions, energy metabolism, and NAD⁺ signaling systems. Because of these roles, NNMT has become an important enzyme target in metabolic and biochemical research.
NNMT Enzyme Inhibition
5-Amino-1MQ functions as an NNMT inhibitor, meaning it interferes with the activity of the enzyme nicotinamide N-methyltransferase. NNMT normally catalyzes the methylation of nicotinamide using S-adenosyl-L-methionine (SAM) as a methyl donor, producing 1-methylnicotinamide as a metabolic product.
Researchers study compounds such as 5-Amino-1MQ to understand how inhibition of NNMT affects cellular metabolic pathways and intracellular energy balance.
Scientific investigations into NNMT inhibitors have demonstrated that blocking this enzyme can influence metabolic processes in experimental models. A detailed study describing the metabolic effects of NNMT inhibition is available here:

This research demonstrated that inhibiting NNMT activity altered metabolic pathways related to energy regulation and adipose tissue metabolism in experimental animal models.
Metabolic Research Background
NNMT has become an increasingly important target in metabolic research because it plays a role in several biochemical pathways associated with cellular energy metabolism.
Research literature indicates that NNMT activity can influence:
-
nicotinamide metabolism
-
NAD⁺ metabolic pathways
-
methylation reactions within cells
-
regulation of cellular energy balance
Because of these relationships, NNMT inhibition is frequently examined in laboratory experiments investigating metabolic regulation and cellular biochemical pathways.
By studying compounds such as 5-Amino-1MQ, researchers are able to explore how modifications to nicotinamide metabolism influence broader metabolic systems.
These studies contribute to the understanding of cellular energy regulation, metabolic signaling networks, and enzymatic activity within biological systems.
Lyophilized Research Compound
5-Amino-1MQ supplied by Nutrigenix is provided as a lyophilized research compound, a preparation method commonly used to preserve compound stability during storage and transportation.
Lyophilization (freeze-drying) removes moisture from the compound while maintaining its structural integrity. This allows researchers to store sensitive research compounds in a stable form until they are prepared for laboratory experimentation.
The lyophilized material can then be prepared using sterile laboratory techniques depending on the requirements of the experimental protocol.
Each vial is sealed within a sterile glass vial equipped with a rubber stopper and aluminum crimp seal, which helps protect the compound from environmental exposure during storage and handling.
This packaging format helps maintain compound stability while allowing controlled preparation within laboratory research environments.
Research Applications
Because of its role as an NNMT inhibitor, 5-Amino-1MQ is commonly investigated in research areas involving metabolic enzyme signaling and cellular biochemical pathways.
Researchers frequently evaluate compounds such as 5-Amino-1MQ in studies involving:
-
cellular metabolism
-
NAD⁺ metabolic regulation
-
enzyme inhibition mechanisms
-
metabolic signaling pathways
-
biochemical pathway analysis
These investigations help scientists understand how metabolic enzymes influence cellular energy balance and biochemical regulation within living systems.
Understanding NNMT activity is particularly important for research examining how metabolic pathways respond to enzymatic modulation and intracellular signaling changes.

The 5-Amino-1MQ was actually the one I was most excited about in my order because I’ve been hearing a lot about this peptide lately. I also noticed the pricing here compared to another site I checked was way different. Most places only had 50 mg vials and they were actually more expensive than the 150 mg bottle here, which surprised me.
Saw the COA also showed around 170 mg, slightly over the 150 mg which is great. Overall really happy with this one and glad I ordered it here.
